Community Support Group (CSG)
The Community Support Group (CSG) was originally set up as an official committee of Slapton Parish Council, in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. Following the pandemic, it focussed on delivering activities that brought the community back together.
The CSG relied heavily on the support of helpers to organise and run activities, events and workshops. Due to a lack of volunteers, it was resolved on 2nd September 2024, that the CSG Committee would be brought to a close on 1st Nov 2024.
This year, the PC will continue to run the Community Cafe from November to the end of February as enough volunteers have come forward to help with this – a huge thanks to all who have given up their time to either run the cafe or bake delicious cakes for it.
Slapton Community Cinema will become its own entity (an unincorporated group) and will run independently of the PC. Please do look continue to support the cinema by coming along to enjoy the bi-monthly films, chat with friends and enjoy some drinks and ice cream.
A huge thank you to everyone who has supported the CSG over the years, and especially to those who have helped out with the many activities and events planned and delivered by the CSG.
