Clerk and RFO Vacancy
Slapton Parish Council is recruiting a Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer.

The Parish Council is looking for a well-organised individual with excellent oral and written communication skills, a flexible approach, integrity and strong initiative. The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer, be IT-literate, financially aware and willing to undertake appropriate training to provide the best possible support to the Parish Council and our parishioners.
Hours: Up 32 hours per month, to include some evening and week-end commitments, as agreed with the Chair. Holiday entitlement will be calculated using SLCC’s annual leave calculator tool.
Salary: In line with NALC guidelines.
Place of work: The successful candidate will work from home, for which an allowance will be payable of £26.00 per month. Attendance at meetings in Slapton Village Hall each month (except August) is required and occasional site visits may also be required, for which own transport will be required.
Training: The successful candidate will be expected to undertake such training as is agreed with the Chair. If the appointee does not already hold a Certificate in Local Government Administration, financial support will be available for the relevant training.
