From DCC Highways:
We would like to inform you about upcoming drainage improvements on Church Road in Stoke Fleming which will commence shortly.
The highway requires maintenance, and these essential repairs will help replace the drainage system across the A379 in Church Road and will see new chambers installed and new pipework.
For safety reasons the road will be closed to through traffic although pedestrian access to properties will be maintained. This is due to amount of utilities currently in place below the road surface. Bus companies have been made aware and will be making alternative arrangements for services.
Any changes to the start date or duration will be shown on advisory signs on site. We will do our best to complete the work quickly and minimise disruption. Your co-operation and understanding are greatly appreciated.
Please see the full road closure and works area highlighted in red on the map below with the official diversion route being the blue dotted line. Please note that all other roads will remain open, but that Devon County Council will only ever promote the official diversion route.
