Monday at the Village Hall, Winter Pop-Up coffee club, 1pm to 3pm TODAY It is week 8 out of our 12 winter pop up community cafes and after a wet and blustery weekend , its time to get rid of some surplus energy with a game of ping pong and a good catch up. Please do come along.
This weekend, the HM Prison Service Community Payback Scheme team attended the village to tidy up the planting area on Sands Road and remove the rotten bottle bank fencing. This has created much needed additional car parking at the park and walk.
It has been a really good day with Giles and the Community Payback team, briefing and discussing all the parish projects and making a start on the Brandis Park verges which will be planted with wild flower seed in between the daffodils.
The Parish Council are delighted to announce that from Saturday 4th March a team from The HM Prison and Probation Service Community Payback Unpaid Work Scheme will be working in the parish to assist the PC in in delivering a range of Bio-Diversity and village maintenance projects.
The Government has introduced new rules meaning you need to show photographic identification (photo ID) when voting in person at a polling station. This is a national change implemented as part of the Elections Act 2022.
The new South Hams garden waste collection service is due to start this month with the first collections will take place within two weeks of 6 March.
