Works have been delayed. The PC has received notification that works on the A379 Slapton Line will begin on Tuesday 17th June 2025 although the online 'Live Roadworks' page of DCC Highways' website says Thursday 19th June so be prepared for either start date!

Please see the communication below recieved from the Highways Liaison Team concerning the change of date to works on the A379 Slapton Line:

‘I wanted to keep you in the loop of where we are currently with surface dressing and with the above sites in particular. Unfortunately, the weather earlier this week and today especially has had a big impact on the surface dressing programme.

Therefore, I can confirm that following meetings this morning, works are now planned for Tuesday 17th June instead on the A379 and at West Alvington Hill.  Please note all previous agreements still apply.

The portable vehicle information signs at Kingsbridge Quay and Strete Gate will be updated with the new date for the Torcross site.’

Please be aware that the ‘Live Roadworks’ page of DCC Highways’ website is showing that the works on the A379 will begin on Thursday 19th June so be prepared for either start date!

Please also note that the PC has not received an update regarding the surface dressing works on Sands Road so it is unclear when these works will proceed. However, the ‘Live Roadworks’ page is showing this is now planned for 30th June 2025!
