Ready for the digital landline switchover?

We live in a rural area, and the UK’s planned switch from traditional landlines to digital phone services is likely to affect some residents, particularly those who may find it harder to move to newer forms of communication.

These changes will affect everyone who has a landline they’d like to keep using.

By January 2027, the old analogue phone network will be completely switched off, replaced by new digital landlines which work using broadband.

Whether you are preparing for your own switch or helping a friend or family member, BT’s Connected Together initiative will guide you through what to expect and how to get support.
