NHS Devon is urging residents at risk of becoming seriously unwell from flu to get vaccinated as cases begin to rise.

If you have a long-term health condition—such as COPD, diabetes, chronic kidney or liver disease, a BMI over 40 or take asthma medication you may be eligible for a free flu vaccine.
Flu can worsen existing conditions and lead to serious complications.
Vaccination is the best defence and could save lives.
How to get vaccinated:
- Book via your GP, pharmacy, or the NHS App
- Walk-in clinics and pop-up outreach sessions are also available
