Sands Road Park and Walk Update
This weekend, the HM Prison Service Community Payback Scheme team led by Giles, had good spring weather to complete the tidy up of the dogwood and planted area on Sands Road, remove the final surface debris where the old bottle bank was situated and lay the reclaimed road scalpings.

The work has provided a new hard surface for additional visitor car parking and improve visibility to reversing drivers.
Next week the reclaimed fence posts will be installed to complete the project, so that the ‘no overnight parking signs’ can be reinstated. Work will also continue on the verges at Brandis Park to prepare them for the wild flower seeds.
A big thank you to Giles and his team for their continued support and to SHDC for removing the old fence panels promptly last Monday. Please do welcome Giles and his team if you are passing, as it is really appreciated and they are doing a great work for our parish.
The PC appreciate that the door step collection service is not yet rolled out across the whole parish and are progressing this with SHDC. The nearest bottle bank is at Torcross.
