What a lovely spring weekend its been! Well, it's week 9 out of our 12 winter pop up community cafes and time again for a game of ping pong and a good catch up. Everyone in our parish is welcome, of all ages and hope to see you there from 1pm to 3pm.

A huge thank you once again to our mystery baker has been incredibly busy this week making a HUGE carrot cake and date and Walnut slices. Those who love Yorkshire Parkin will have to wait until the 27th, as anyone from Yorkshire knows, it has to mature for a week to be at its most yummiest.

Everyone in our parish is welcome, of all ages and if you are working, why not bring your lunch so you don’t miss out on the fun, coffee and cake.

We are nearly there with the 1000 piece donated jigsaw, let’s try and get this completed this week so time for just one more, plus lots of table games, music, lighting, papers and selection of teas including herbal and decaf.

On the 23rd March the elections period starts and there will be some application packs available if you are interested in applying to become a Cllr at the 4th May elections. Please do feel free to have an informal chat about the role with Lou the Clerk or Cllr Jane Abbey and also if you need advice on Voters ID if you wish to vote in person.

We hope to see you there from 1pm to 3pm today, 20th March at Slapton Village Hall and just to remind any newcomers that everything is complimentary, no entry fee, no donations necessary, just bring yourselves.

Best wishes,

Lou and Jane x
