DESCRIPTION:Have-A-Go Dog Agility Returns!\nGreat fun and socialisation for you and your dog \nThe 2023 season community ‘Have-A-Go Dog Agility’ class begins again on Sunday 9th April 2023 at the Village Recreation field. \n\nWhen: Occasional Sundays*\nTime: 10-00am to 11.15am. 10.00 – 10.15am is 15 mins of settling doggy sniffs & hello’s. Entry closes at 10.10am to prevent disruption to the group.\nWhere: Slapton Village Recreation Field\nFREE to take part. Please WALK up if you are able – only 2 car parking spaces\n\nAbout The Group \n\nIt’s a fun event; fuss\, praise and treats essential!\nFree\, Royal Canine hypo-allergenic medium calorie training treats will be provided for everyone to use\, to ensure dogs with food allergies and sensitive tummies don’t get sick.\nPlenty of dog drinking water provided\, plus wet sponges in summer.\nAll dogs on leads please at all times when entering the field and during socialisation time and the session\, unless on the circuit.\nPlease supervise children as dogs can be reactive to high energy and keep them away from the circuit.\nPlease click here to download and complete the Dog Agility – Registration form and bring to the event. DESCRIPTION:To welcome in 2023 and break up the winter gloom all parishioners are invited to a new Monday weekly winter pop-up community café which will be held at Slapton Village Hall. \nWhen: Every Monday from 1pm – 3pm. \nStarting on the 16th January to 3rd April ‘23 inclusive. \n\nComplimentary coffee\, teas and biscuits for all parishioners.\nHave-a-go at table tennis – Learn to play or polish up old skills.\nHelp with a very large Jigsaw or play table top games.\nNeed advice\, have ideas\, or concerns? The Parish Council will be holding drop-in clinics in the café for residents to ask questions.\nGuest speakers – We are inviting our District and County Cllrs\, Local Police Office and Devon Fire and Rescue. You can collect between 1-5 trees with protection and a free planting guide. \nTrees will be 2-3 years old around 20-60cm in height and UK Broad leaf species such as crab apple\, wild cherry\, rowan and birch. \nPlease bring some damp newspaper to wrap your tree in. \nThere will be the opportunity to drop in for a cuppa and a cake and advice on tree\, hedge and woodland planting and eligibility.
